Graduate Admissions Requirements

The Graduate School of the University of Florida requires both a minimum grade average of B for all upper-division undergraduate work and a minimum Verbal + Quantitative total score of 1000 on the General Test of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). All international students seeking admission to the Graduate School are required to submit satisfactory scores on the GRE general test and a score of at least 550 on the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language). Three (3) letters of recommendation are required and should be submitted online with your adm. application or directly to the department. Initial deadlines for receipt of all application materials (including GRE scores) is October 15 for the spring semester, March 15 for the fall semester and March 1 for the summer semester.

Please note that the degree offered is in Building Construction. Limited financial aid is available to both international and domestic students but only to those currently enrolled in the program (we do not offer financial aid prior to enrollment). In general, interested graduate students compete for graduate teaching and research assistantships during their first semester of enrollment.
