EDUCATION: Ph.D. University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), UK, 1986; B.Sc. (Hon.), Building Technology, University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), UK 1980.

SPECIAL FIELDS: Neural Network Based Simulation of Engineering Processes (including modeling the Thermal Performance of Residential Buildings, estimating the performance of FRP externally reinforced RC members, and determining bridge loading from bridge dynamic strain response); Computer Based Modeling of Construction Processes; and development of Web and Interactive CD-ROM based Educational material.

EMPLOYERS: Structural and petro-chemical engineering design (Phillips Consultants Ltd, UK; Foster Wheelers Ltd, UK), Consultant to various construction organizations in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Faculty at National University of Singapore, Civil Engineering Department at the University of Maryland.

PUBLICATIONS: Over 50 refereed articles
