The student chapter of the USGBC was founded in 2000 and is the first student chapter of the USGBC in the U.S. The USGBC fosters the adoption of high performance building design and construction techniques, reduced construction waste, increased recycling, deconstruction of buildings, and healthy buildings. This student organization is open to campus-wide membership. Dr. Charles Kibert is the faculty advisor.
